DAWAH

1.

Lectures on Quranic Teachings (Dars-e-Quran)

 

To promote knowledge of Quran in the society, Islami Jamiat Talaba organizes weekly lectures on different topics of the Holy Quran (Dars-e-Quran).

2.

Distribution of Islamic Literature

 

Islamic literature is distributed amongst students and people in residential areas as well as in educational institutions.

3.

Presentation of Islamic Audio / Video Programs

 

Audio / video programs on Islamic teachings are arranged in residential localities as well as in educational institutions to give a better view of Islamic teachings to the people.

4.

Programs on Holy Islamic Occasions

 

Different programs are organized keeping in view the importance of Holy Occasions, in which the importance and message of that occasion is highlighted.

5.

Corner Meetings (Ijtima-e-Aam)

 

Corner meetings are held to express Jamiat's point of view on important issues and to motivate public opinion. 

6.

Get-to-gathers (Rawabit Party)

 

Rawabit Parties are arranged in order to invite new students to organize them under the flag of Jamiat, so that they can do collective efforts to preach Islamic Teachings.

7.

Preaching Delegations (Tablighi Wafood)

 

Preaching delegations are send to different areas where students are not aware of Islamic Teachings

 

ORGANIZATIONAL

1.

Meeting of Workers (Ijtima-e-Karkunan)

 

Workers' and Supporters' Meetings are held on fortnightly basis in each unit.

2.

Meeting of Associate Members (Ijtima-e-Rufqa)

 

Associate Members' Meeting are held on monthly basis.

3.

Meeting of Members (Ijtima-e-Arkan)

 

Members' Meeting are held on monthly basis in different cities and divisions.

All Pakistan Members' Meeting is held on annual basis.

4.

Meeting of Executive Council (Shura)

 

Meeting of the Executive Council is held on monthly basis for cities and divisions.

Meeting of the Executive Council is held on quarterly basis for provinces.

Meeting of the Central Executive Council is held on semester basis.

5.

Visits of Incharges (Nazimeen)

 

The president of Islami Jamiat Talaba Pakistan visits each city / division in Pakistan once in a year.

The presidents of provinces visit each unit in their respective province once in a year.

 

CAREER BUILDING

1.

Study Circles

 

Study Circles are organized on fortnightly basis. Different Islamic and educational topics are chosen so that the workers of Jamiat get a better point of view of Islamic Teachings. Workers sit together in a group and discuss sub-points on that topic, after comprehensive study of prescribed related books.

2.

Group Discussions

 

Group discussions are arguments on current affairs amongst the workers of Jamiat. Group discussions are organized and conducted as required.

3.

Speakers' Forum

 

Speakers Forum is a forum in which all the members are assigned different topics to debate on. Speakers' Forum is organized to improve the debate skills of workers and members.

4.

Leadership and Management Trainee Camp

 

Leadership and Management Trainee Camps are organized in provinces and big cities. sThese camps are organized for Unit and Department Incharges. Workshops, seminars, debates, lectures, discussions and competitions are organized to improve leadership and management skills.

5.

Career Building Camps (Tarbiyat Gah)

 

Career building camps for supporters, workers, associate members and members are organized in different zones, divisions and branches on yearly basis. These camps are organized to promote Islamic character amongst the students and enhance their knowledge and skills. Seminars, debates, group discussions, lectures and competitions on different topics are arranged.

6.

Sports and Recreational Activities

 

For the physical and mental growth of students, sports competitions, festivals, picnics and tours are coordinated in each unit. These activities are organized in the light of Holy Prophet's (S.A.W.)  saying:

"

A strong Believer is better than a weak Believer.

"

7.

Visits to Graveyard (Ziarat-e-Quboor)

 

To refresh the concept of death and life hereafter, visits to graveyards are arranged for students. These visits are often organized in the night and each individual is separately allowed to visit graves and refresh the perception of death.

8.

Shab-e-Bedari

 

After the students complete their day to day activities, programs are organized in the night for the improvement of Islamic knowledge and character. These programs are based on prayers, lectures, learning of Holy Quran and Hadith and other collective efforts.

 

EDUCATIONAL

1.

Book Fairs, Science Fairs and Computer Exhibitions

 

Because of increasing prices of books, Jamiat organizes book fairs in schools, colleges, universities, private institutions and other locations so that people with strict financial conditions may buy books at discounted prices. Book fairs help in increasing the literacy as well as provide an easy source for needy students. Besides book fairs, science fair and computer exhibitions are also organized to promote practical implementation of scientific knowledge.

2.

Lectures, Seminars and Conferences

 

To create awareness about the educational, national and international issues amongst students, lectures, seminars and conferences play an important role. Keeping in view this importance, Islami Jamiat Talaba organizes these activities in units, large cities and educational institutions. To discuss more important issues, conferences are arranged on provincial and national level.

3.

Books' Week (Hafta-e-Kutub)

 

Due to increasing expenses in education, more than 70 % of the students in Pakistan are not able to carry on their education. Because of this, literacy rate in Pakistan is decreasing day by day. To control this situation, Jamiat started Books Week (Hafta-e-Kutub) in 1952 to help the needy students by providing them books and paying their fees. This tradition has been carried out since then and every year a week is dedicated for these efforts. Old books and funds are collected by door to door visits, at big markets, populated locations in the city and at educational institutes. These material and funds are then passed onto to needy students in different institutes by Student Welfare Department.

4.

Talent Awards Ceremony

 

Awards Ceremonies encourage meritorious students and promote the culture of education. Each unit of Jamiat organizes Talent Awards Ceremony on yearly basis, so that Pakistan may play an important role for Islam with educated youth.

5.

Co-Curricular Activities

 

Units in educational institutions arrange co-curricular activities to establish an imaginative sense in students. These activities include debate and speech competitions, quizzes, scholarship exams and Naat and Qiraat contests.

Students' Week (Hafta-e-Talaba) is organized in professional colleges and universities. Different programs like Face-to-Face, Musha'ira, Tablos and Dramas and other activities are presented to students.

6.

Educational Guidance Activities

 

Jamiat organizes FREE Practical Classes, Crash Courses, Exam Preparation, Entry Test Preparation, FREE Coaching Classes, Extra Classes in Institutions, Study Tours and Self Assessment Tests (SAT).

7.

Establishment of Book Banks, Study Centers and Bone Banks

 

Book Banks have been established by Jamiat in professional institutes, universities and residential localities, in which a collection of text and reference books is maintained. Bone Banks have been established in Medical Colleges to fulfill the needs of students. Different study centers have also been established, which provide a study place to students.

8.

Students' Courts (Talaba Adalat)

 

To enlighten social evils, mock court sessions are held at public spots. These courts help a lot in educating people about the social envies.

9.

Students' Fair (Talaba Mela)

 

Students' Fair is new activity introduced by Jamiat, which is held in large Universities and cities. Students' Fair is a three day fair, in which exhibitions, conferences, seminars and extra-curricular activities are carried out.
